The accompanying neck protector has a 100g filling and is easily attached to the blanket with the help of hook-and-loop closures. Both the blanket and the neck cover are made of a water-repellent material (5000mm-3000gsm) with very good breathability. The lining consists of a woven textile whose smooth surface prevents chafing. The Welltex technology in the material strongly reflects the horse’s body heat in the form of infrared energy (FIR). “Obsidian” envelops a large part of the horse’s body in Welltex, which stimulates blood circulation in the large muscle groups, increases the horse’s well-being and can promote softness and mobility in muscles and joints. The effect can also help relieve problems with stiffness, inflammation and osteoarthritis.
