The Manufrance (St. Etienne) Ideal is an innovative roundbody boxlock SxS shotgun using both a pair of Purdey underbites as well as a modified Bissell rising bite engaging a dolls head on the rib, this makes a spectacularly tight lockup to the action. The underlever also serves the dual purpose of recocking the hammers as well as unlocking the action. This shotgun also has a very lively feel, with the sunken rib removing quite a bit of weight from the barrels and the relatively high comb providing a good fit for modern shooting. Condition of this beautiful shotgun is very good, with only light wear across the metal parts and some slight traces of the color case hardening still present. The stocks however show the brunt of the wear, with a few repairs visible on close inspection. Though the most notable area of wear is that the ejectors appear out of time, with the right ejector seeming to not function properly on occasion.
