Deep enough to accommodate tube style flags. It includes floated double matting to mount your flag, fabric adhesive, clear glazing, backing and bendable tabs so you can insert your flag. Includes sawtooth hanger and bumpers also. Also includes mounting instructions. The moulding is a lightweight polystyrene, smooth classy black shadowbox style. The width is approximately 1″. The height is approximately 2″. It could cost  $400 to have flags mounted in a frame shop. Now you can do it for about half of that.
